Our timetable allows for a mix of adult led teaching and child led learning. There are timetabled sessions for phonics, literacy, maths and RE. At other times children are in targeted continuous provision and they access the environment and resources independently. The classrooms and outdoor areas are thoughtfully set out and resourced to ensure children are developing and consolidating skills and understanding. Adults join children in their play and use these opportunities to develop their interests and teach across all areas of the EY curriculum. There are naturally occurring themes which happen due to the time of year which we take advantage of in order to provide relevant learning opportunities and there are also certain topics that are planned for throughout the year to ensure a broad and balanced curriculum.
